About

For more than 50 years, Mount Holyoke Field Hockey has shaped the lives of student-athletes through dedication, hard work and an unshakable team spirit. Today’s Lyons are striving to be one of the top Division III programs in New England, and your gift helps make that possible.

Your generosity will directly support:

  • Team bonding experiences that strengthen connections, build trust and create lasting memories. Our program is also fortunate to welcome a strong turnout each year for the annual Laura Murphy Alum Game. Donor support helps make the accompanying gathering possible, creating a special opportunity for former teammates to reconnect and celebrate the program they share. It has become a highlight of the year for many of our alums.
  • Equipment upgrades that give our student-athletes the tools they need to train and compete at their best
  • Leadership programming that helps our student-athletes grow as confident leaders on and off the field
  • International travel opportunities that allow our team to train, compete and experience another culture together
  • Stipends for our assistant coaches, whose expertise and dedication are critical to our student-athletes’ development and our program’s success

One of the most exciting aspects of Mount Holyoke Field Hockey is the opportunity to travel abroad every four years. During our program’s history, our teams have traveled to England, Argentina, South Africa, China, Australia and Italy, creating unforgettable experiences both on and off the field. These trips are about more than field hockey — they foster lifelong friendships, deepen team bonds and create memories that our student-athletes and alums carry with them for years to come. In 2028, we’ll embark on our seventh international trip, continuing this incredible tradition.

Together, we can ensure that Mount Holyoke Field Hockey continues to provide transformative experiences and opportunities for our student-athletes while strengthening the lifelong community that makes this program so special. And with the match funding in place, there’s no better time to give — every dollar you contribute will have double the impact.

Exciting news — an anonymous donor and loyal champion of Mount Holyoke Field Hockey is matching every gift, dollar for dollar, up to a maximum of $1,500!

Thank you for helping us advance and strengthen our Field Hockey team!
