Cross Country

Gifts made to the Cross Country team will help us:

• Equip our athletes: Provide travel bags, warm-ups, practice gear, medicine balls, rollers and other essential training equipment.
• Promote equity and inclusion: Remove financial barriers by fully funding practice gear and team activities so every athlete can participate.
• Fuel performance: Cover nutritious meals and snacks during long track meets to keep energy high and spirits strong.
• Build community: Support off-campus bonding activities — such as apple picking, bowling and laser tag — that connect athletes across event groups and bring Cross Country and Track & Field together as one team.
• Celebrate and grow together: Fund seasonal events, preseason educational workshops, exam-week study breaks and meaningful senior celebrations, including catered meals and personalized gifts.

Your support is already making a difference. In 2026, Athletics Day of Giving funds allowed us to purchase sideline jackets for our athletes — the first time our team had been able to provide them. These jackets were especially meaningful during New England’s unpredictable and sometimes very cold spring weather, helping our athletes stay warm and comfortable while representing Mount Holyoke.
