Basketball

Mount Holyoke has one of the oldest intercollegiate basketball programs for women in the country. Players entering the program join a hardworking, committed and caring group of student-athletes who are striving to become one of the top Division III basketball teams in New England.

Last year, donors’ gifts allowed us to take the team to the Basketball Hall of Fame over winter break and to do other team bonding activities throughout the season. Gifts made to the Basketball team on Athletics Day of Giving will directly support team travel for training, ideally to Puerto Rico in the 2026–27 season, and provide essential team gear. Traveling together strengthens bonds between teammates, helps them grow on and off the court, and offers opportunities to experience new cultures, develop crucial life skills in planning and preparation, and cultivate leadership abilities.

MHC Basketball saw tremendous growth in the 2024–25 season, and we are looking forward to continuing that trajectory in the upcoming season and into the future. Your support makes all this possible.
