Continue Supporting Mount Aloysius

My name is Sam Hopp, and I am the new head tennis coach for Mount Aloysius. As I wrap up my first year with the program, I feel fortunate to be a part of what is happening with our teams. The men’s AMCC title in 2021 was a sign to the players of what this program can accomplish, and I believe consistent contention is in our near future. The growth of the players and the support they offer one another separates this program from other tennis teams; there is enthusiasm and joy around the sport that is putting us on the path to continual success. Our home courts have undergone a revitalization, and on-campus matches and meets have been met with interest and excitement from the rest of the student body.

My goal is to respond to and expand the enthusiasm the players bring to this sport every day. Court lighting would allow for more hosting opportunities, as well as allow for later practices and hit-arounds. Funding for further travel would allow players to experience the regional differences in tennis styles, including how the game is played and what the game is played on. As our numbers continue to grow and our players put in even more work, improve rapidly, and have even more success on and off the court, we thank you for your support!
