Morehouse College Crown Forum

The Crown Forum Endowed Chair will establish a Professor and associated programming that formalizes and amplifies Crown Forum experiences — 11am Thursday sessions, Crown Forum Classrooms, Crown Forums AfterDark, Winter Term — in ways that seamlessly connect pedagogies at the College to pragmatic social impact learning and doing.

Crown Forum is where a student’s spiritual core is provided space and place to grow in community action and social impact.

Framing Goals: Stoke awareness about one’s self in relationship to their surroundings; expose learners to social contexts and opportunities for influence; and position learners to positively and to effectively engage their communities.

Engagement Objectives: Help learners define for themselves who they are in relationship to their community; share/engage experiences with learners as to demonstrate need for aid or action relative to a vulnerable status or condition; and engender within the learner a plan and/or practice to contribute positively to community.
