Three and a half hours away from the Bolivian capital of Sucre, the 280-person town of Urkupiña goes without a reliable source of clean water. In April of 2024, they applied to Engineers Without Borders-USA for a partnership to help them develop a water source; in October, we applied to fill the other side of that partnership.
Since then, our team has been working tirelessly alongside the community to learn all we can about the geophysical conditions of the area, the current water source, and the resources we’ll have available in-country. Recently, we began planning a trip to the community for this May.
This is more than a project: it's a relationship. Through EWB-USA, we have the ability to empower this community with consistent access to clean water– a development that will improve the educational, economic, and physical health of all members of the community, especially women and children.
Of course, we can’t do it alone. This kind of sustained relationship requires financial commitments, ones that we need your help to make.
With your contribution, we will be able to:
✅ Travel to the community to assess their current situation and survey the land
✅ Ensure that our team has access to food and clean water while in-country
✅ Continue to build a relationship with community members
One donation of $500 or two donations of $250 will sponsor one student's travel costs from St. Louis International Airport to Urkupiña, Bolivia. Your donation will allow us to continue our efforts in this community.
Donate today and change lives forever.
With 16 hours left in our campaign, you pushed us to our goal! We're so blown away by your generosity and we're so excited to show you everything we'll do with the faith you've put in us. Watch the video to hear from members of the team!💙
