The Missouri S&T Combat Robotics Design Team is a student-led team with an overall focus on design innovation. Each year, our team designs, manufactures, and competes multiple robots across different weight classes, including 3, 12, and 30lbs.
This year, our robot V1 has seen massive improvements as we decided to iterate on last year's winning design. Moving towards this two-year cycle allows us to better improve our design leading to a more winning robot. Along with our new robots a 12lb horizontal named Ace of Spades and a 3lb multibot Gambit, we plan to sweep the competition at our events this year.
In March 2026, our team will compete in Norwalk, Connecticut and Champaign, Illinois. The Norwalk competition is a rare chance to showcase our work on a global stage, while Champaign allows more of our members to experience the excitement of traveling together.
Estimated Costs:
- Plane Tickets: $4,200
- Vehicles + Gas: $2,000
- Hotels: $3,600
While the full cost of travel is nearly $10,000, our crowdfunding goal of $5,000 represents a vital portion of that budget. Every dollar raised directly reduces the financial burden on our members and ensures that as many teammates as possible can attend. Your support helps us cover essential expenses like flights, lodging, and transportation — making the dream of competing together a reality.
Every donation is important to us, no matter the size! Your generous contributions will directly support our innovation and further allow for future engineers to thrive. All donations are 100% tax deductible.
We thank you for your continued support and for always believing in the Missouri S&T Combat Robotics Design Team!
Thank you all so much for donating to our campaign this year! Thanks to all your generous donations we not only achieved, but exceeded our $5,000 goal! Our entire team would like to say thank you for donating, sharing our campaign, and being an overall amazing community! We will make you all proud at our competitions next month!
198 days ago by A'Shawn HughleyI'm thrilled to announce that we've reached our crowdfunding goal as of a few days ago! We had extended our deadline to Wednesday the 11th to give enough time to make our goal but it turns out we didn't even need it! We are extremely thankful to each and every individual who shared or donated to our campaign; your kindness means the world to us. We are keeping the crowdfunding page up until Wednesday still so that more people have the chance to donate to help cover more travel costs if they wish. Thank you!!
