About

Help Ozarks Public Television bring to life the story of the MSU Bears Baseball program in a new local documentary.

In 1964, football and basketball dominated the sports scene at what was then Southwest Missouri State College. That year a new sports program would take the field and become an instant hit. Athletic Director Aldo Sebben appointed Bill Rowe, as the team's first baseball coach. In just five short seasons Coach Rowe would have his team competing in the NCAA Division II College World Series. Since then, the program has produced 33 All-Americans, 17 major leaguers, five MLB first-round draft picks and three World Series Champions.

OPT will explore the history of the MSU baseball program, highlighting the coaches, players and administrators who have made the program a jewel on the baseball diamond.

If you have any questions please contact RachelKnight@missouristate.edu.

A special thank you!

Thank you so much for your support of the MSU Baseball Bears documentary!  There are just 5 days left on the campaign!

Please share on social media and consider sending a personal email with a link to the campaign to five of your friends! Let them know they can get their own copy of the documentary for a $75 gift!  The DVD also makes a great gift - especially for those out of town that can't view it on OPT.

Thank you for helping make the campaign a success!
