We are in preparation for Millikin University to host the 2027 NCAA Division III Softball National Championships, returning the event to Decatur for the first time since 1993. The 2027 championship will mark just the fifth time the state of Illinois has hosted the NCAA Division III Softball Championships. Millikin Softball’s success extends well beyond facilities. The Big Blue have captured eight CCIW Championships, including three consecutive titles in 2021, 2022 and 2023, establishing the program as one of the premier teams in our conference. The rare opportunity to host such an esteemed event as a National Championship would not have been possible without the vision and unwavering support of Gary and Judy Workman. Their generous contribution helped to produce one of the finest softball facilities in NCAA Division III Softball and will represent the Millikin community on a national stage.
