The Millikin Men’s and Women’s Golf teams are ready to rise to the next level. The Men’s teams have won 19 CCIW conference titles, the highest number of conference wins in Big Blue history. In 2025, the team finished runner-up at the CCIW Championships. Women’s Golf was established in 1996, earned CCIW Conference Championship titles in 2000 and 2001, and placed sixth as a team at the 2000 NCAA Championships, among other accomplishments. Presently, both teams started strong in the fall portion of the 2025-2026. The men’s team have won 3 tournaments thus far and have set multiple scoring records. The women’s team also etched their name in the record book with several strong team performances and the team climbed back up to 5th place in the CCIW Conference tournament. With both programs on the rise, donor funding is vital to provide a championship experience for our student-athletes.
A note from Coach Sam Osborne - While winning is important, our program is deeply committed to developing our student-athletes into well-rounded individuals who are prepared for life beyond college. Our primary goals are centered on character development, academic success, and personal growth. We strive to graduate our student-athletes on time, equipped with the tools they need to thrive in the crucial five years after graduation, which we see as a pivotal period in their lives.
A cornerstone of our program is focusing on the things we can control, including character and process. By emphasizing integrity, accountability, resilience and teamwork, we help our athletes build a strong foundation for personal and professional success. These qualities are instilled not only through competition but also in the way we approach practice, preparation, and daily interactions.
Donor support is absolutely vital to the success and sustainability of our golf program. While our program has an annual budget to cover basic operations, we are required to fundraise an equivalent amount each year just to meet those needs.
