Middlebury Student Emergency Fund

As a result of the recent closure of the Middlebury campus to reduce the spread of COVID-19, many Middlebury College alumni and families have asked “How can I help?” Your gift to the Middlebury Student Emergency Fund will assist the College in caring for our students and ensure their health and well-being during this very challenging time.

For example, many students need financial assistance with moving, travel, food and technology needs. This fund will ensure that they can transition to remote learning, with the resources they need, as smoothly as possible. We anticipate that this fund will operate on an ongoing basis and will evolve as student needs change.

While COVID-19 is causing extraordinary changes in our everyday lives, we are grateful for the incredible outpouring of support from Middlebury alumni, parents and friends around the world. Thank you!

2020 Senior Class Gift Fundraising Will Support Student Emergency Fund

With the arrival of the COVID-19 pandemic, the lives of Middlebury students changed dramatically. Moving to online learning and missing out on a spring semester, especially for seniors, was disappointing and required last minute decisions and unique adjustments to future plans. Midd students have rallied together and supported one another, as they always do.

In the spirit of connection through these new challenges, the Class of 2020/2020.5 has made the decision to direct their Senior Class Gift fundraising efforts to supporting the Student Emergency Fund. These funds, in part, will help make it possible for all of their 2020 classmates to return to campus for Middlebury’s in-person Commencement celebration. Now, more than ever, the class looks forward to getting together to celebrate in the future.

Thanks to a challenge gift by the Middlebury Trustees, any gift of any amount made to Middlebury between now and June 30 will be matched with $100.

Thank you for supporting the Class of 2020/2020.5 and helping get everyone to campus for their Commencement!
