Fall is in the air, which means the fourth annual Socktober giving event is here! Keep your toes warm and show your Roadrunner pride when you make a gift to support MSU Denver students.
For every gift of $25 ($15 is tax-deductible) you make to the Roadrunner Food Pantry, Student Emergency Fund or the DREAMer Emergency Fund during Socktober- Oct. 1-31 - you will receive one pair of limited-edition MSU Denver socks AND one pair of socks will be donated to a student in need. Want a warmer sock? Get your MSU Denver ski sock with a gift of $35.
With the support of our Roadrunner family, last year was our most successful Socktober yet! Over 315 donors contributed more than $16,000, bringing our three-year Socktober total to over $46,000 and more than 1,650 pairs of socks donated! Your generosity knocks or socks off!

A small act of kindness can have a huge impact on the life of an MSU Denver student. Here are just some of the ways your support is helping our Roadrunners:
- Roadrunner Food Pantry - The Student Care Center helps fight hunger and food insecurity at MSU Denver by meeting the nutritional needs of hundreds of hungry students every semester. Last academic year 1,335 students were served at the food pantry.
- Student Emergency Fund - Last year, over 350 applications were submitted by our students for emergency support. Your generosity allows MSU Denver to provide emergency stipends to students dealing with an unanticipated life event that might otherwise cause them to stop our pause their educational goals.
- DREAMer Emergency Fund - This fund was created to provide direct relief grants to our DREAMer students with financial needs. Because of the support of our donors, 12 students were awarded $11,750 this summer from the fund.

This year's Socktober is off to the best start ever with over 120 donors, and nearly 300 pairs of socks will be donated so far to the food pantry for students in need.

Ride your bike with Roadrunner pride, and rock your Rowdy bike socks! With your gift of $25, you can get one pair of MSU Denver bike socks. One pair of business socks will also be donated to the food pantry for a student in need.
