Help Us Showcase at ICFF: Emerging Furniture Design 2025

Support Industrial Designers from MSU Denver!
Goal: Our mission is two-fold: To raise funds to promote Colorado’s design innovation, MSU Denver, and our Industrial Design’s celebrated and accredited department at the International Contemporary Furniture Fair(ICFF) 2025, in New York City, in May. Your support will afford three exemplar industrial design seniors in presenting their collaborative furniture collection to international audiences at the WANTED Student Showcase 2025 at ICFF.

WANTED Student Showcase: WANTED spotlights the best of North American design, international emerging talent, and international school and student work. The Schools Showcase at WANTED serves as a great opportunity for international design schools to present the work of their best students for them to be part of the main design trade event during NYCxDESIGN, receive feedback from professionals and start building their network.

It is also a space for international design schools to recruit students and to connect with an international schools network to create partnerships and potential exchange programs.

Expenses: Shipping costs and materials for the exhibition booth, designs, and promotional materials, along with booth registration and installation fees. The department will ship a selection of student designs that highlight our multifaceted program, including works by Melissa, Gaven, and Dean—all of whom will be in attendance with their faculty advisor.

Melissa, Gaven, and Dean: They aim to debut their collaborative furniture collection, developed in class at MSU Denver and presented under a singular brand, at the upcoming WANTED Student Showcase, to bring more visibility to Colorado's skilled creative scene and the Department of Industrial Design. By using “common” materials like American Red Oak and aluminum with thoughtful design and finishes, they want to champion a new American aesthetic. Their work seeks to honor American tradition while embracing the future. They experiment with forms, fabrication, and ideas that reflect the evolving role of design in our daily lives. This is a collection that speaks to the enduring value of simplicity, restraint, and the power of thoughtful innovation. They design for living, feeling, and belonging.
