Men's Basketball

Messiah Men’s Basketball family, friends and alumni,

I hope you are doing well and had a great Thanksgiving with family and friends! We know as a program we have a lot to be thankful for; support from friends, family and alumni, the opportunity to be at a place where we prioritize building Christian character and pursuing athletic excellence, and the chance to receive an amazing education.

Recently, we took the team to the Dominican Republic for a team service trip over fall break. The impact of that trip on our program will be felt for years to come and it was all made possible by generosity from our fiends, family and supporters of the program! On our trip we were able to serve the local community in Juan Dolio, DR in schools, nursing homes, local villages and churches as well as play 2 games as a team. I know I speak for the team when I say it was a life changing experience.

All of the funds raised through our day of giving help us to provide discipleship opportunities as well as a first-class experience for our players. Some of the key areas include trips like our one to the DR, preseason retreats (more info on that in the future), a second graduate assistant position on our staff, travel to great locations for games - 2 games in Michigan slated for next season already, and much more!

One other key area where your support is used is in recruiting. Currently we have 9 states represented on our roster. In this recruiting class so far we have had visits from 7 different states. Our ability to go out and identify not only talented players, but players who are tremendous fits at Messiah and in our program is vital to our success.

I would love to talk sometime if you have questions about the program, our team or how you can make an impact even without giving monetarily. I am so honored to lead these men on this journey and represent Messiah Men’s Basketball.

Your support, no matter how big or small is a huge help to our program and our players!

Thank you and Go Falcons!
