Mercyhurst University Esports Campaign

About Mercyhurst Esports

At Mercyhurst Esports, our goal isn’t simply to raise money, it’s to build a community of people who believe in our students and the opportunities esports can provide.

Now entering its third year, Mercyhurst Esports is a Club Sport within Athletics, bringing together approximately 20 students who share a passion for competitive gaming and the many opportunities surrounding it. Each season, our students compete on 4–6 competitive teams against collegiate programs from across the country, proudly representing Mercyhurst on a national stage.

But esports at Mercyhurst is about much more than competition. Students can contribute as players while also gaining hands-on experience in broadcasting, production, social media, team operations, and other areas behind the scenes. Through these experiences, students develop valuable skills in teamwork, communication, leadership, time management, problem-solving, and professionalism. These are skills that extend far beyond the game and into their classrooms, careers, and communities.

Why Esports Matters

Esports creates a unique environment where students can pursue something they are passionate about while developing skills that prepare them for life after college. Whether they are competing, producing a broadcast, managing a team, creating content, or supporting the program behind the scenes, our students have opportunities to collaborate, lead, communicate, and grow.

Most importantly, Mercyhurst Esports gives students a place to belong, a community where their interests are valued and where they can represent their university while building meaningful relationships and real-world experience.

Your Support Makes an Impact

Support for Mercyhurst Esports directly creates better opportunities and experiences for our students. Donations can help us:

• Improve the Esports Lab with technology, equipment, and room upgrades that enhance training, competition, and student experiences.
• Support our students through jerseys, apparel, and other resources that help them proudly represent Mercyhurst.
• Strengthen our broadcast and production capabilities by upgrading streaming equipment and creating a more professional experience for both our students and viewers.

When you support Mercyhurst Esports, you’re investing in more than games. You’re investing in students, community, and opportunity. Together, we can continue building a program where students can compete, create, lead, and prepare for their futures through something they love.
