Performing Arts Funding Priorities
From music and theatre to a range of ensemble and performance experiences, Performing Arts offers boys opportunities to develop their skills, collaborate, and perform at increasing levels of depth. To strengthen these opportunities, the Performing Arts faculty have identified the following priorities.
- Instruments and Equipment: Tubas, horns, flute, trumpet, euphonium, string instruments, and other equipment that supports music instruction
- Student Experiences: Travel for auditions, performances, and competitions—including All East/State Band Competition and Guitar International Competition that broaden students' artistic and performance experience
- Guest Artists: Visiting artists, clinicians, and professional practitioners who enrich instruction and inspire students
- Music Program Enhancements: Refurbishment of handbell octaves and digitization of choral music library to strengthen instruction and preserve program resources
- Theater Facilities: Stage, dressing room, and classroom enhancements, including new curtains and rehearsal box space, that support learning and performance
