A note from Coach Sharma:

As we usher in a new era of leadership, commitment, and passion to our tennis program, your support means a great deal to the development, growth, and confidence of our Red Foxes.

Whether you are a Marist Tennis alumnae, parents, friends, tennis fans in New York City, Duchess County, or part of the Marist community, together we can provide increased opportunities to the Red Foxes through our inaugural Women's and Men's team fundraising campaign.

For the 2023-2024 season, we have set lofty goals and raised the bar expectation-wise on and off the court. Our goal is to be a premier college tennis program in the Northeast built with integrity, passion, and teamwork that competes for MAAC championships, NCAA bids, and national rankings. Off the court, we are a program that will build its fan base not only through athletic and academic success but to an unwavering commitment to each other and to Marist College and its community. Ultimately, Marist Tennis is a program that builds confidence and will inspire young adults to strive for excellence in everything they do.

With this inaugural campaign we are looking to expand and enhance travel opportunities and team building for our athletes, bolster training for the team, and provide the highest quality environment each day. With your help, no matter the size of your gift, we can help our student-athletes excel on and off the court and provide an elite experience.

We are looking to build our program in the following phases:

Phase 1- Spring Break Training and Dual Matches Trip to the USTA Tennis Center in Orlando, FL. Simply the best time of the season. Nothing beats the comradery of completing in those hard-fought practices and matches in the Florida heat. MTEN has scheduled Florida State, Illinois State, Marquette, and Hampton while WTEN has scheduled Princeton, Navy, South Dakota, Marquette and Hampton. This trip is key for our preparation to complete for the MAAC title.

Your contribution goes towards fulfilling our dreams of training and competing at the highest level to best prepare us to win the MAAC tournament, earning the automatic bid to the NCAA tournament.

To help fund our training trip including travel, lodging and airfare, we are looking to raise $10,000.

Phase 2- Looking the part. I’m sure you can understand the pride our players will have by representing the team around campus with new parkas and backpacks. We’re due for new gear to really represent the Red Foxes with pride.

To help us look the part, we are looking to raise $2,000.

Phase 3- Embracing the daily grind. The dual season is grueling and we’re pounding the pavement every day trying to get better. Our footwear takes a beating too and having a fresh pair of sneakers can go a long way.

To help us stay fleet a foot, we are looking to raise $1,000.

Your generosity is greatly appreciated as always, so we hope that you consider donating. Giving to the program creates long lasting friendships and memories for current and future Red Fox tennis players to come.
