Field Hockey

Hello fellow Alumni, Fans, Supporters,

It has been an honor to be the first-ever alumna to lead the Mountaineer Field Hockey program! For the past nine years, I have been leading with the pillars of “Family, Legacy, Tradition.” In all aspects, we strive to be successful on and off the field and represent our institution with pride and respect. We have achieved that level, and for that, I am so proud.

This past fall, we had the most successful season in program history, being nationally ranked all but one week of the season and reaching as high as 6^th nationally. We made playoffs for the fourth time and hosted our first-ever home playoff game in program history. We faced off against Bloomsburg and beat them in dramatic fashion in OT on a penalty corner play! That propelled us to the PSAC Championships hosted at #1 East Stroudsburg. We had to face the reigning national championship team, #1 ESU, on their home turf in the semi-final game. We fell to them in OT. Although heartbroken, we were so proud of what we were able to accomplish! We stayed true to our pillars of “Family, Legacy, and Tradition” and even created new legacies and traditions for our program that we plan to carry with us into the future.

This fall, we look to continue our path of success and set our sights on making it to the NCAA tournament! YOUR donation will help our program sustain a high level of talent to be able to compete at the Division II level in the PSAC and ultimately reach the NCAA tournament.
