Field Hockey

Hello fellow Alumni, Fans, Supporters,

It has been an honor to be the first-ever alumna to lead the Mountaineer Field Hockey program! This is my tenth year at Mansfield as Head Coach, and I am so proud of what MUFH has accomplished in the past decade. I continue to lead our program with the pillars of “Family, Legacy, Tradition.” Because I am an alumna of Mansfield, I honor and respect the past of our program which include the rich traditions that run deep within MUFH, and all who represented it before my time here as a player. In all aspects, we strive to be successful on and off the field and represent our institution with pride and respect. We have achieved that level, and for that, I am incredibly proud.

This past fall, we reached another historic season by consecutively making the PSAC playoffs for the first time in program history! MUFH was nationally ranked all but one week of the season again this year, which was another first for our program to repeat that accomplishment. This now marks our program making playoffs for the fifth time (2006, 2010, 2019, 2023, 2024). Both August Lewis (Sr. Goalie) and Kenedy Stroup (Sr. Midfield) repeated as NFHCA DII All-Americans. Another first in program history was having the first ever major player award winner in the PSAC. Freshman Jenna Duke was named the 2024 PSAC Freshman Athlete of the Year. Keeping true to the tradition of “family”, Jenna is the youngest Duke sister, as Kalin ’23, and Amanda ’26 are MUFH past and current members. Additionally MUFH was honored with four ALL-PSAC selections; Kenedy Stroup (Sr. 1^st Team), August Lewis (Sr. 2^nd Team), Jenna Duke (Fr. 2^nd Team), and Melanie Esh (So. 2^nd Team). In the classroom, MUFH obtained the highest team GPA (3.46) since 2014. Our goal is to strive for excellence in all facets, and your continued support is what allows us to achieve this level of success.

This coming fall, we look to continue our path of success and have our sights set on making it to the NCAA tournament! YOUR donation will help our program sustain a high level of talent to be able to compete at the Division II level in the PSAC and ultimately reach the NCAA tournament. My ask to you is for you to join us TODAY so that we can be better TOMORROW and BEYOND! Help us Move Mountains!!!
