Career Exploration and Internships
Career Exploration strives to help students explore their interests and connect them to employers and resources. Our flagship programs—MacLaunch, MacExplore, Employer Tabling, and the Macalester Summer Internship Grant (MSIG)—are designed to guide students as they build career connections and gain hands-on experience. However, funding remains our greatest challenge. While we received 124 applications for MSIG last year, we could only support 36 students. Your contribution would make a tangible difference, allowing us to provide more students with the funding they need for unpaid internships and career-building opportunities. Every gift counts!
Student Research Opportunities
Help support over 200 students present their research and creative work during the annual Academic Summer Showcase! Your contributions will help us with year-round programming that helps students find opportunities, get the most out of their summer experiences, and share their newfound knowledge with the wider Macalester community.
Student Entrepreneurship and Innovation
Macalester Entrepreneurship and Innovation works with students and the broader Macalester Community to fuel innovation and bring about change. Our programs support students as they experience entrepreneurship first-hand, on-campus in our Idea Lab and at Macathon, as well as in the Twin Cities, and around the world through the Live It Fund, MacStartups, MacNest, and the Zia and Priti Fund for Innovation and Impact. Your gift will support a stipend allowing a student to experience a life-changing, mentored entrepreneurial experience building on what they’ve learned in the classroom.
