Womxn's Wrestling

Your gift helps Macalester Athletics and the Women's Wrestling Club Sport continue to provide our student-athletes a holistic collegiate experience combining competitive athletic endeavor along with personal development, community building action, and academic distinction. Specifically, the Women's Wrestling program is setting an aspirational goal of reaching 5 donors on March 28. We will use funding for; New protective gear, a new chess x wrestling event, and food for our team.

Our program hosts three practices a week, including one co-ed practice for all the wrestlers at Macalester. We often do team building events like going on small trips to local lakes to run, movie nights, and dinners. Last year we were able to go to two tournaments, but this year due to the experience of our team we are only hosting intramural events. Next year we hope to do more traveling and head to more women's tournaments. As women's wrestling grows around the country and world, we hope to grow it at Macalester, showing all experience levels just how fun it can be.
