Each year, our university’s top auditioned choir travels to Estes Park for our annual winter retreat, a tradition that has become a cornerstone of our musical growth and community. Set in the Colorado mountains at the start of the year, this retreat gives singers the focused time and space to dive deeply into our repertoire, refine our ensemble sound, and prepare for the demanding musical work ahead. Away from campus distractions, students are able to engage fully with the artistry, discipline, and collaboration that choral excellence requires.
Beyond the music, the retreat is a powerful experience in team-building and connection. Through shared rehearsals, meals, and reflection, students build trust, leadership skills, and a strong sense of belonging within the ensemble.
