GIFTS OF $100 OR MORE WILL RECEIVE A PRINT FROM AN MSU DENVER ARTS STUDENT!
At MSU Denver, we believe Colorado’s K–12 students deserve passionate, highly qualified educators who bring the transformative power of art into their classrooms. Yet our dedicated Art Education majors face a significant financial barrier in the final stage of their preparation: the required student teaching semester. This is 16-week, full-time, unpaid internship.
Monday through Friday, our student teachers spend 40 hours a week in K–12 classrooms—planning lessons, supporting learners, and growing into confident educators. Because this experience is unpaid, many are forced to juggle the demands of student teaching with basic living expenses, often working nights and weekends just to make ends meet. This creates a serious—and sometimes prohibitive—financial obstacle at the very moment they should be fully focused on their students and their craft.
This Day of Giving, we invite our community to help remove this roadblock by supporting the MSU Future Art Educators Scholarship Fund. Your donation directly reduces the financial strain of student teaching, allowing the next generation of art teachers to develop strong instructional practices and meaningful classroom experiences.
You’re not simply funding a scholarship—you’re investing in quality art education for thousands of Colorado children. Help us support these essential educators as they cross the final hurdle toward licensure and ensure a brighter, more creative future for our schools. Donate today.
