You have the power to launch a creative career!

The Center for Visual Art’s (CVA) Art + Action Lab is doing more than teaching art; we are building the future workforce. We provide MSU Denver students with professional teaching experience, preparing them for greater success after they graduate. We also connect local teens to the MSU Denver community, giving them behind-the-scenes access to Denver's creative industry and helping them build professional networks that last a lifetime.

But access shouldn't have a price tag. Too often, unpaid internships exclude students who can't afford to work for free.

That's why we need you.

Our goal is to raise $5,000 to fund essential stipends for our high school interns and salaries for MSU Denver student teachers. Your gift ensures that students from all backgrounds—regardless of financial barriers—can access these life-changing opportunities.

Just ask Lucy Riley, a former teen intern who is now an MSU Denver student and CVA teacher: “I wasn’t that interested in going to college, but my time in the [Art + Action] program cemented for me that I wanted to go to school for art and that I really liked what MSU Denver had to offer. Now I work at CVA as a teacher for the high school program... I really love my teaching role and getting the chance to provide the same experience to the teens that I got to have and help them make the decision that I was really confused about at that age.”
