Rocky Mountain Balinese Gamelan Festival
Building on the success of the inaugural Rocky Mountain Balinese Gamelan Festival (the first of its kind in the United States) held at MSU Denver in April 2022, the second Rocky Mountain Balinese Gamelan Festival (RMBGF) will be held at MSU Denver on April 24 and 25, 2026. This festival will feature academic discussions and roundtables, invited speakers and performers, a series of workshops (for beginning and advanced musicians and dancers, educators, and families), performances from gamelans across the Rocky Mountains (including MSU Denver's own Gamelan Manik Kusuma), and evening concerts featuring traditional and contemporary performances. The festival will draw students, faculty, staff, community, and national attendees and participants.
Your generous donation will help offset the costs associated with inviting leading Balinese musicians and dancers across the United States to our campus, where they will share their artistry and expertise with our students and community.
