Mission
PRSSA Loyola University Chapter’s mission is to provide great service to our members by improving their education, expanding their professional network, and assisting them in launching their professions after graduation. PRSSA assists students with gaining the experience and practical expertise that companies are looking for. PRSSA provides internship listings, contests, scholarships, prizes, and leadership opportunities to help students grow as communications professionals and as leaders. PRSSA also offers periodicals, news, and social media to keep students up to speed on organization and industry developments.
What Funds Will Go To
The Loyola University Chapter of PRSSA needs your help to contribute to our members’ travel expenses for the November PRSSA International Conference in Dallas, Texas. The contributions generated will allow our PRSSA Loyola University chapter members to attend ICON 2022 from November 11 to 15, 2022.
The conference is an excellent opportunity to maximize the career potential of our students, and build a strong representation of Loyola PRSSA and the university as a whole. ICON is a global event that brings together public relations/communications students and professionals for professional growth and networking. Loyola University attendees will have the chance to hear from various industry leaders about their experiences and best practices, as well as attend general sessions at the PRSA International Conference and several PRSA networking events. This International Conference is a must-attend event. The Conference provides attendees with the chance to learn from professionals and peers all in one place. Many people believe that the connections they make at an event like this Conference will help them develop their careers in ways that no other event can.
In the past, few students have attended the National conference simply because they can’t afford the expense. One of our goals this year is to make the rewarding international professional development opportunity available to more students. This fundraising could push our PRSSA chapter closer to meeting our goal. We would highly appreciate your help!
