Black Student Union (BSU)

Mission

The BSU provides social, cultural, educational, and community service opportunities related to African-American interests in order to increase the understanding of African-American culture and its significant contributions to society and history. 

What Funds Will Go To

Loyola's Black Student Union prides itself on being a safe space for all types of Black students, and we believe that our BSU headquarters should reflect that. We plan to collaborate with Black artists on Loyola's campus to create a new mural in our headquarters that is positive, uplifting, and welcoming. We also plan to repaint the walls and change the flooring and furniture. With donations, we would love to renovate our space to be a reflection of what BSU currently is and to be a safe space for students to study, network, and hang out.
