Mission

The mission of the Office of Community Engaged Learning, Teaching and Scholarship (OCELTS) is to help Loyola embody the Jesuit vision of a university with and for local and global communities and to support community engagement across campus.

What Funds Will Go To

Lagniappe means "a little something extra"!  OCELTS joins Lagniappe Days to assist with transporting service learning students as they give "a little something extra" to our communities and their classroom experience.  Not only do students make the sacrifice to serve others and enhance their learning, but they willingly take the strain and incur the expenses of transportation to and from service sites as they enact Loyola's mission throughout the New Orleans community. Help us to defray student costs, meet community needs, and impact lives as we "Move Beyond University Walls"!
