Who We Are & What Funds Will Go Towards
LUCAP, the Loyola University Community Action Program, is a student-initiated, student-led volunteer service and advocacy organization. LUCAP is open to all students, offering them opportunities for direct service; reflection on larger, related social justice issues; and advocacy and organizing through its many projects in areas such as rebuilding, hunger and homelessness, tutoring and mentoring, and environmentalism.
OUR GOALS:
- Connect students with volunteer opportunities in the local community.
- Promote civic engagement & social justice awareness on campus.
The funds raised will be used to fund our projects. Because we have such a wide range of what we hope to do we need money to fund our service projects. For many of our projects, we need supplies and transportation for students without cars so we hope to use the money to solve these problems within our organization
