Gifts to College of Entertainment & the Arts Day of Giving 2022 contribute to...
The George Shinn College of Entertainment and the Arts is intentionally interdisciplinary — teaching young artists to thrive in a variety of traditions and practices from classical music to modern animation. We educate and train students to innovate with art forms as old as humanity and as modern as a download so that they can work creatively in the full range of traditional and emerging environments. Students work alongside artists of different disciplines and mediums, preparing for the collaborative and multifaceted world of the arts today.
Today, on the Day of Giving, we ask for your support.
- Your contributions will help fund student initiatives so they can bring their education to life on interdisciplinary projects designed to create works of art ready for the public. This can look like a music video directed by a student for a song written by a student featuring performers and crew who are students. We love supporting our students in this way.
- Your contributions will help us add cutting-edge opportunities via new and experimental technology that our students will learn to use as they prepare for the workplace of tomorrow. A good example of this is the VR Chair that we added a few years ago so our students could experience that emerging field.
- Your contributions will help us take advantage of unplanned opportunities that arise during the course of a school year. This could be something like Pixar CCO Pete Docter dropping in to talk to our students like he did last year or adding to the group of students who could meet potential mentors at a VIP event during the MercyMe concert at Bridgestone Arena at which some of our students will perform as an opening act.
Every dollar and every donor matters! We want to give the richest and fullest experiences Nashville and Lipscomb have to offer to our students. Please help us support and train our students in the CEA.
