Lincoln Memorial University was founded on February 12, 1897. Over 125 years later, we celebrate this anniversary with LMU’s Founders Day of Giving. During this time, LMU alumni, faculty, staff, students, come together to give their twenty to the top hat in support of LMU and to commemorate its anniversary. The goal this year is to achieve 750 individual donors, and we are asking you to help us reach our goal!
In honor of the conclusion of the year-long 125th anniversary celebration, every person who makes a gift this year for Founders Day of Giving will have their name placed inside of an LMU time capsule which is set to be buried on February 14th. Become part of LMU’s history and help us reach our goal by giving your twenty to the top hat today!
Mr. Jay Shoffner, a member of the LMU Board of Trustees, has issued a Founders Day of Giving challenge to the entire LMU community to help us reach our 750 donor goal. For each person who makes a gift to Founders Day of Giving between now and February 12, Mr. Shoffner will make a $5 matching gift up to $1,000! Now is the time to give. Your gift can have an even bigger impact when you give Twenty for the Top Hat today!
