Girls Create Music Camp

Lewis’ Girls Create Music Camp strikes a powerful chord by bringing together approximately twenty aspiring female musicians (grades 8–12) for a week-long, tuition-free exploration of songwriting, music production, and recording techniques. Campers collaborate with professional musicians and Lewis students to compose, record, and produce original tracks. Along the way, they build foundational music theory skills and learn about the groundbreaking contributions of women who have shaped the sound and culture of the 20th and 21st centuries.

Designed to serve marginalized local communities, the program aims to address gender disparity in the music industry by “raising the roof” on opportunities for young female artists.
