Your gift to the Pride Center directly supports four initiatives that we are unable to provide without your support!
1) Pride Center Gift Account: we fund nearly $5,000 in student requests for emergency financial aid, professional development/travel abroad support, and gender affirming care support (medical bills, travel bills, gender affirming clothing, etc.)
2) Support Space Programming: we fund our entire support space program with donor support. We have four student support spaces, TGNC for Trans and Gender Nonconforming students, QTPOC for queer and trans students of color, BPFQ for bi, pan, fluid, and queer students, and Ace Space for ace/aro students. Your gift provides student facilitator salaries and supplies for the groups (food, crafts, outings, etc.)
3) Help us to decorate our new lounge: We recently moved into the newly renovated Clayton University Center and would like to purchase new decor items to make our space feel as welcoming as we can. We plan on purchasing art work, pillows, colorful decor, flags, etc.
4) Leadership Programming: The Pride Center is developing a new leadership program that is cohort based and focused on building LGBTQIA+ students’ leadership capacities to advocate and promote social change. We envision a program where students are paid for their participation.
