DIversity, Equity, and Inclusion
Lasell is deeply committed to fostering a welcoming, equitable, and inclusive community that prioritizes educational opportunities for students, faculty, and staff to learn, reflect, and grow together. We recently received the 2023 INSIGHT into Diversity Higher Education in Excellence in Diversity (HEED) Award, a national honor that recognizes significant advancement of the core values of DEI (diversity, equity, and inclusion) as evidenced through mentoring, teaching, research, hiring and promotion, recruitment, retention, and many other campus priorities. This commitment was also cited as a significant strength in our recent NECHE re-accreditation.
To further this commitment and to ensure sustained efforts, we would like to establish a dedicated fund for strategic initiatives that will deepen educational opportunities on campus and further advance Lasell as a leader in higher education.
The DEI Strategic Fund will support:
- Specialized training
- Expert speakers/presentations
- Employee development
- Student leadership development
- Initiatives that will increase the likelihood of receiving grant funding
