Professor Debra Homer Levis Scholarship

After a nearly 30-year career at Lake Forest College, teaching legal studies and constitutional law related courses in the politics department, Professor Levis is retiring! To show gratitude for how much her outstanding leadership and professionalism, as demonstrated through her gifted teaching, advising, and mentoring, have substantially impacted current and former students at Lake Forest College, we are raising funds for a scholarship in her honor for future students of the College.

The Professor Debra Homer Levis Scholarship will provide $2,500 for the 2021-22 academic year, with the preference for rising juniors who show significant improvement in their overall GPA and academic performance during their time at Lake Forest College. The student should be pursuing relevant coursework in legal studies/law-related courses with a 3.0 average in legal studies/law-related courses and must have an overall 3.0 GPA in all courses. The student should reflect academic integrity and intellectual curiosity. The student must demonstrate financial need.
