Established in October 2014, the Wells-Rapp Center for Mallet Percussion Research is a collection of information documenting the careers of several of the finest mallet percussion artists from the early to mid-twentieth century as well as a diverse collection of rare mallet percussion instruments gathered for the purpose of creating a legacy collection for future generations.
The Wells-Rapp Center for Mallet Percussion Research at Kutztown University is dedicated to serving a broad community that encompasses the local region to enthusiasts, artists, and scholars from around the world as a comprehensive resource and leading institution in the preservation, education, presentation, and advancement of the mallet percussion art form.
