A featured activity at KU Alumni Spring Weekend, join us for the KU Alumni Open Mic Reading, where stories, poems, and creative voices come to life! Students and alumni — past and present — will share original works in a welcoming, relaxed atmosphere that celebrates creativity and connection.
KU alumni are encouraged to attend and take part. Step up to the mic to read your own fiction, poetry, or nonfiction, or simply sit back and enjoy the inspiring performances of our current students.
The event, co-sponsored by the department of English and hosted by Professor Jeffrey Voccola, will be held in the McFarland Student Union Building, Room 312, beginning at 10 a.m., with the open mic running through 11:30 a.m.
Whether you’re sharing your work or cheering on others, we hope you’ll join us for a morning of creativity and community. We look forward to seeing you there!
