About

The Kennesaw Film Festival is celebrating its 5th anniversary in April 2027! Founded by Professor Sangsun Choi and sponsored by the School of Communication and Media, the festival gives KSU student filmmakers an opportunity to share their work beyond the classroom and with the public.

Students from across KSU can showcase short-form work, including music videos, documentaries, experiential shorts, and more, with submissions reviewed by alumni, faculty, and industry professionals. This year’s milestone festival will also expand to include industry panels and exhibitors, invited submissions from neighboring colleges and faculty, and the new Auxiliary Owl Awards Ceremony recognizing community partners who create hands-on opportunities for KSU students.

Your support will help us raise $5,000 to grow the festival, celebrate student creativity, and give emerging filmmakers meaningful opportunities to showcase their work and connect with the industry.
