Support Women's Tennis at K!
As the head coach, I’m energized about our recent successes and the future of the program. This past 2024-25 season we finished 2nd in the MIAA and lost a tough 5-1 decision in the MIAA Championship match. We won the most overall matches since 2015 and also finished #53 nationally, our first national ranking since 2015.
In the classroom, the team finished the 2024-25 academic year with a 3.45 GPA and were awarded both the MIAA Academic Award and the ITA Academic Award. Individually, the Hornets had eight players with over a 3.5 GPA! It was an excellent season all around, with big gains from the previous year.
To build upon these accomplishments and to continue to enhance the student-athlete experience, our focus is to raise funds for our upcoming spring break trip and help offset the rising costs of travel and equipment.
Our spring break trip is a vital student-athlete experience for tennis. It is a special week for the players to get off campus and spend a significant amount of time outside training for the MIAA season upon our return. The weather in Michigan is unpredictable, but we know we can get at least 20 playing hours outside in Florida each year.
