Support Women's Basketball at K!

The Kalamazoo Women’s Basketball program strives to empower our student-athletes to be leaders on and off the court. We value Family, Character, Discipline, Selflessness, Growth and Passion in everything we do. Our team has created a culture full of dedicated student-athletes that thrive not only on the court, but in the classroom and community as well.

Once again, we continue to be excellent in our academic pursuits, earning a team 3.37 GPA in the Fall 2024 term after making MIAA Honor Roll and being recognized as a top academic program in DIII by the WBCA last year with a 3.36 team GPA. We have participated in many volunteer opportunities as a team throughout our community over the past year including: Millwood Elementary Family Fitness Night; visited with children during the holiday season at Bronson Children’s Hospital; partnered with the Kalamazoo Police Department and their “Shop with a Senior” initiative; and participated in the Kalamazoo Clean-up.

On the court, we have surpassed our win total from a year ago for the second year in a row and have taken huge strides in our competitiveness. We have the hardest playing team in the league and we continue to improve daily in practice and learn more from each game. We are excited about the direction our young team is heading as they gain confidence and chemistry on and off the court. 

As we look to continue improving as a team both on the court and in the classroom, we do have areas of needs within our program that would help us enhance our program and the experiences we’re able to provide. This year your generosity will specifically help support: 

• Purchasing new jerseys
• Team bonding experiences
• Defray increasingly expensive team travel expenses, such as buses or team meals over our lengthy winter break
• Aid in our 2025 team trip down south (location TBD) and support future team trips
• Other program enhancements to keep us competitive
