Baseball

Last year we raised $25,000 on the Day of Giving. We are hoping to match or exceed that amount in 2024.

We are in the biggest stretch of success in the history of our program. On the field and in the classroom, Hornet Baseball is putting in the effort that is producing results.

Over the past four seasons:

• Kalamazoo has the third highest winning percentage of any four-year college baseball team, any division, in the state of Michigan.
• We are in the top 10% of winning percentage in Division III, amongst nearly 400 programs.
• We have celebrated back-to-back championships, the most recent coming this past spring where we won the MIAA regular season championship for the first time since 1927, while notching the program’s second 30-win season—as we tied the school record for wins with 31.

Beyond the team’s success, recent individual accomplishments include:

• All-American individual recognition
• National Freshmen of the Year
• National RBI statistical champion
• A program record three All-Region and six All-Conference players
• Nine individual records and six team records set
• A seventh consecutive Academic All-MIAA award (a conference record)
• Celebrated the program’s first Academic All-American
