Gifts to The Michael Mansmann Endowed Scholarship contribute to...
Reunion is more than a celebration of memories — it’s a chance to make a lasting impact on the place that brought your class together. During the John Carroll University Day of Giving, reunion classes unite once again to show the power of their collective generosity and Blue Streak pride.
Join the Class of 2001 in remembering one of their own - Michael Mansmann. Making a gift to the Michael Mansmann Endowed Scholarship will provide aid to a student who is a communications major and has an interest in journalism. Students are selected in their junior year and applied to their senior year at JCU.

This is one of Michaels writings:
there may be no more integral part in the making of michael mansmann than a sunny autumn day
walking out onto my back porch on one of those fall days
looking out onto the rolling hills, the trees starting their slow dance with the impending
winter, leaves spiraling from the perches in one
last magnificent gesture - and I am at absolute
peace
It's hard to believe 25 years have gone by since we last saw Michael - yes we typically used his full name! There have been many conversations over the years about what he'd be doing now, what his life would look like, what kind of family he would have. With varying visions of what each of those might be. But one thing has remained consistent. We know Michael would still be bringing light and joy to those around him through a mix of bafflement and amusement.
John Carroll was a special place in his life through the friends he met, the experiences he had, and the atmosphere that afforded him to be his own man. We are forever grateful for that and comforted in knowing he was in a place he adored with people he loved at the end. We hope his scholarship continues to encourage bafflement and amusement for generations to come. Thank you all for being part of his life and contributing to his memory.
