Gifts to Dr. Robert B. Carver Memorial Scholarship contribute to...
Dr. Robert B. Carver was a faculty member who taught and inspired students for 30 years before his retirement in 1985. The Dr. Robert B. Carver Memorial Scholarship was established in his memory by his family and supports the Outstanding Achievement Award in Sociology. Recipients are outstanding juniors and seniors in sociology who demonstrate academic excellence, a 3.0 minimum GPA, motivation, enthusiasm, and involvement in sociological activities on and off campus.
Emma Perdiak, our 2026 award recipient said: “Receiving the Carver award has meant a great deal to me because it recognizes all the hard work I have done at JCU, both academically and extracurricularly. After John Carroll, I am attending Case Western Reserve University’s law school, and this scholarship has greatly helped me with my law school deposits and tuition, aiding me in achieving my dream of becoming an attorney.”
Please join us during Day of Giving to help us increase funds for this scholarship so more deserving students may be recognized.
