Forensic Crime Scene Lab

At John Carroll University, we believe that meaningful learning happens when students connect classroom knowledge with real-world experiences. For students pursuing degrees in Criminology and Sociology, this hands-on training is especially critical, as precision and accuracy directly impact the integrity of future investigations.

To strengthen this experiential learning, we are developing a signature Forensic Crime Scene Lab on campus. This 300–400 square foot "living laboratory" will replicate real-world environments. Here, students will move beyond textbook concepts to practice essential skills in a professional setting, including:

• Evidence Collection & Analysis
• Realistic Simulations
• Interdisciplinary Collaboration

The total cost to renovate and equip this space is $15,000. We invite you to partner with us in bringing this vision to life as a former Sociology or Criminology major. Every contribution—large or small—helps provide the specialized equipment, materials, and simulation tools needed to create an immersive learning environment for our students.
