Gifts to Arrupe Social Justice Scholars Program contribute to...
In just over a week, the Arrupe Social Justice Scholars Program is collaborating with Jesuit Refugee Services (JRS) in Washington, D.C. for a day of advocacy and civic engagement on Capitol Hill.
Students from the Arrupe Social Justice Scholars Program will travel to Washington, D.C. to advocate with members of congress on behalf of immigrants, migrants, and refugees. This annual event gives students the opportunity to make their voices heard in government, to share in the work of civic responsibility, and to help break down the barriers between citizens and their elected leaders.
With the support of alumni, family, and friends, our goal is to run this program at no cost to students. By removing the financial hurdle for participation, we are able to bring a wide diversity of students to D.C., and give them a chance to have a real impact on behalf of their community.
