Dear friends and alums of the History Department,

With your generous donation as part of JCU's Day of Giving, you will help support:

• The Majors and Alums Banquet - since 2018, we have brought together majors and alums at the end of the academic year to honor our graduating seniors and bestow department awards. The event also serves as a reunion for alums and faculty as well as provide a networking opportunity for our current and former students. Previous donations have enabled current majors and minors to attend the dinner free of cost.

• The History Club - there has been a resurgence of interest in the History Club since the end of the pandemic. Your donation can help defray transportation costs, or tickets to cultural events for majors and minors participating in club outings. Recent examples of such events include the special Tudor Exhibit at the Cleveland Museum of Art; field trips to the Kent State Memorial to the 1970 killings, campus events where alums meet with students about internships or career opportunities, or our faculty present their research to students and for which lunch or refreshments are a welcome bonus.
