Dolphin Dash is Jacksonville University's Annual Giving Challenge where Dolphins across the globe Give Forward for a whole week in February. Make a gift to support your favorite JU College, athletic team, club, greek chapter, or alumni affinity network between February 5th - 9th, 2024!
During Dolphin Dash, alumni, students, families, faculty, staff, friends, and fans put Phins first — let’s push Jacksonville University further than ever before.
Dolphin Dash is about being a part of a collective giving movement to make waves for the next generation of Jacksonville University students. Every gift large and small matters to help us make a big difference.

This year, you have more ways to make a difference by earning IMPACT, ENGAGE, and INSPIRE points for your favorite athletic team, college, greek org, club, or affinity network. Choose your way to play!
Points will be tallied at the end of the week to determine first and second-place winners in these three areas for each challenge. Look out for updated scorecards each day to see where your favorite campus group stands in the rankings!
Here are ways to earn points:
IMPACT SCORE - Make an impact through giving and raising support from others!
- Most cash raised - 5,000 points
- Highest donor participation % - 2,500 points
- Highest alumni donor participation % - 5,000 points *
- Most increased cash raised % from last year - 2,500 points
- Most increased donor % from last year - 5,000 points
* In lieu of alumni participation, College of Law will aim for 100% participation from all employees and students.

ENGAGE SCORE - Volunteer as a social media champion, participate on campus, or visit the Dolphin Dome!
- For students - play a giving game at a campus Dash Station - 100 points each
- For students - visit every Dash Station and turn in a completed scavenger hunt card - 250 points each
- For faculty, staff & students - Volunteer at a Dash Station - 250 points each
- Sign up to be a Dolphin Dash Champion - 250 points each
- Attend the Dolphin Dome celebration - 50 points each
- For Dash Competitors - Host a table at the Dolphin Dome celebration - 1,000 points
INSPIRE SCORE - Inspire others to join you in supporting JU by spreading the word!
- Win the JU Social Spirit Mini Challenge - 1,000 points
- Win the Number 1 Champion Mini Challenge - 1,000 points
- Create a matching gift or challenge - 500 points each *
- Post on social media in support of your fund and tag @jualumni and @jacksonvilleu - 100 points each **

The Number 1 Champion Challenge
The champion who raises the most money using their unique giving advocate link will receive $1,000 and 1,000 INSPIRE points for the Jacksonville University college, school, team, or organization of their choice (must be an approved JU organization). 'Phins Across America Challenge
In 2023, Dolphin Dash had at least one supporter from every state in America! Let's keep it up Phins! If at least one supporter from every state makes a gift during Dolphin Dash, an additional grant of $5,000 will be unlocked for the University. 'Phins Up to our Dolphins nationwide!

JU Social Spirit Challenge
Let's see your Dolphin pride on social media! The person, organization, or team with the most JU spirit on their social media page will be awarded an additional 1,000 Inspire points for the Jacksonville University college, school, team, or organization of their choice (must be an approved JU organization). Get creative, get competitive, get trending! Let's see those #PhinsUp! To be eligible to win, your posts must be public, and tag both @jualumni and @jacksonvilleu so that we can see and repost your content! The more posts, the more chances you have to win! The overall winner will be selected by a panel of social media experts judging on the criteria of creativity, engagement, and reach.
What are the Dolphin Dash Challenges?
There are seven Challenges that makeup Dolphin Dash: The Athletics Challenge, Affinity Network Challenge, College Challenge, Greek Challenge, JAXRecwell Challenge, and the Sailing vs. Shooting Challenge. You may choose to participate in one or all of the challenges. Each challenge has an exciting incentive for the winner!
Can I participate in more than one Challenge?
Yes- you can give to any (or all!) of the Challenges during Dolphin Dash! To give to multiple challenges, simply give to the funds you are interested in using the Dolphin Dash giving form. You can do so in one single transaction or multiple throughout the week. Your funds will be automatically designated to the appropriate challenge and live leaderboards for each challenge will be automatically updated!
Can I make a gift to an area of campus outside of the Challenges?
To make a gift outside of a Challenge, click the give button at the top of www.ju.edu/dolphindash and select 'Other' from the fund list to write in your own designation. If you'd like to make a gift to support a Challenge, scroll down to find the Challenge tiles listed on that webpage.
Can my employer match a gift during Dolphin Dash?
Yes! See if your employer has a matching gift program. You can also use the search bar within the Dolphin Dash giving form when you make your gift.

When does Dolphin Dash start and finish?
Dolphin Dash begins at midnight on Monday, February 5, 2024, and ends at 1:00pm on Friday, February 9, 2024. Remember to get your gifts in before 1:00pm!

Women's Basketball dominated in the engagement category today by volunteering and participating in Dash Stations on campus! 🏀 All three of our RecWell clubs have a first-place position on the leaderboard! But we are still early in the week. What will happen tomorrow? 🤔
Alumni of the 2020's are leading with the most donors in the Battle of the Decades! 🎓🏆 The alumni decade with the most donors at the end of the week gets to vote for their choice of campus project they would like to see happen for our students! The Sailing Team is also off to a strong start while Delta Sigma Theta and Alpha Delta Pi are battling for first-place prizes in the Greek Challenge! 💪 Who is going to make the biggest IMPACT, ENGAGE with us on campus, and INSPIRE others to give to put the most points on the leaderboard?!
