As the only Honors Bachelor Degree-granting institution in Idaho, the University Honors Program (UHP) at Idaho State University is an academic program designed for motivated and curious undergraduate students who seek broad educational and social collegiate experiences. Honors students pursue disciplinary scholarship, research involvement, artistic interests, and experiential learning that goes beyond the classroom.
Like all students at ISU, Honors Students come from diverse backgrounds and have diverse needs. Many Honors Students are first generation college students, grew up in rural communities, are student athletes, work their way through college, or face financial challenges that can hinder their success.
The University Honors Program is committed to providing sources of scholarships for Honors Students but cannot do it without the generous support of donors like you. Your Bengal Giving Day donation will be used to fund Opportunity Scholarships that go directly to Honors Students. Opportunity Scholarships are sponsorship requests made by current Honors Students for specific academic costs that are not covered by tuition. Requests include, but extend beyond, course textbooks, materials, supplies, and fees; test fees (e.g., GRE, MCAT, Praxis); graduate school application fees; musical instrument maintenance; commuting costs; or research materials.
Every gift matters. Thank you for championing our Honors Students!
