About

Who will write the future of democracy? At Hunter College, Political Science students don’t just study government. They interrogate power, challenge assumptions, and imagine new possibilities for our world. From political theory to global affairs, they explore the forces that shape our lives and develop the critical thinking and communication skills essential for leadership in public service, law, journalism, and beyond.

But for many of these students, the path to that future is not guaranteed.

Scholarships are one of the most powerful ways to sustain this work, ensuring that talented, driven students can remain at Hunter, fully engage in their studies, and pursue careers that strengthen our democracy and civic life. The Joan Pincus Endowed Scholarship is a scholarship for a sophomore or upper division student in need, with excellent academic record majoring in political science.

This Giving Day, invest in the Joan Pincus Endowed Scholarship and help empower the next generation of thinkers, advocates, and changemakers.
