Hunter Dance is a radically diverse community driven by the belief that dance is a vehicle for positive change in the world. At Hunter, students bring bold, high-impact works to life, often performed with live musicians, in the historic Kaye Playhouse, across New York City, and at prestigious festivals such as the American College Dance Association (ACDA) Northeast Regional Conference. These performances reflect Hunter’s role as an anchor institution for the arts and culture in New York City, presenting dynamic work while training the next generation of artists.

Our regular season of performances, campus events, and NYC engagements, along with participation in national conferences and festivals, provides students with transformational, real-world learning experiences. These opportunities allow dancers to deepen their craft, collaborate with live musicians, and connect with the broader NYC and national dance communities while showcasing their creativity, discipline, and excellence.
